UPCOMING PROJECTS

GHANA

A medical mission to rural areas of northwestern (N'gani) and southern (Ekumfi area of Ekotsi-Bogyano) Ghana, West Africa, to focus on  primary medical care, eye care, prenatal care and infectious tropical diseases.  Areas: Accra, Ekotsi-Bogyano and N'gani. 

SOUTH AFRICA

A mission to provide assistance to Zimbabwean refugees at the Albert Street School, Johannesburg, working in conjunction with South African Methodist Volunteers in Missions. We will provide medical sciences education lectures and workshops (high school students only), and donations of school supplies.

SWAZILAND

Our outreach will provide free eye care and eyeglasses to 300 orphans at Bulembu, Swaziland's Bulembu Orphanage Ministries. Free vision screening (visual acuity testing), as well as prescrition eyeglasses, opthalmic medications, and primary eye care will be offered.  

CAMEROON

An aid mission to northwest provinces in Cameroon, Africa (primarily in Ntumbaw and Njirong villages) . Services to focus on educational support, and primary medical care.

There will also be a reforestation project to focus on the replacement of eucalyptus trees and the planting of indigenous trees in rural areas in northwestern Cameroon. People with reforestation experience, water engineering or agriculture expertise are welcome.

LOCAL OUTREACH

World Missions Possible is seeking support from medical professionals to volunteer locally in the US. To date, WMP has provided approximately 590 surgeries and 6,793 medical and eye exams. The organization has no hired staff and has always relied 100% on volunteer support. VOLUNTEERS

There are many ways you can volunteer with us in your local community and abroad. We are always looking for people with various backgrounds, talents, and skill levels. We currently need assistance with accounting, tax preparation, bookeeping and legal consultation. If you are interested in applying to participate as a WMP team member on a medical mission, please provide & forward the following MANDATORY materials as soon as possible:

  1. WMP Medical Team Trip Application (signed & dated). Click to download the PDF or DOC files.

  2. WMP Liability Release Form (signed, dated & notarized). 

  3. Copy of current & vaild U.S. medical licensing. (If applicant is retired, please note.)

  4. Copy of resume/CV.

  5. Provide copy (face page) of vaild and current passport (be sure passport expiration is vaild through 30 days after trip return).

  6. Visa application form for (applicable) country.

  7. Provide emergency contact information.

  • Team member must meet all of the WMP team leader's "Minimum Standards of Practice & Qualifications" for team participation. For specific information concerning WMP's minimum standards of practice & qualifications, contact WMP

  • World Missions Possible, Inc. does not provide medical insurance for any mission team participant. Team members are encouraged to provide their own medical (and/or SOS) insurance coverage. For some overseas trips, travel insurance will be provided.  
     

Please Note:

While some independent travel MAY BE allowed before/after a World Missions Possible team trip, World Missions Possible is not responsible and will NOT REIMBURSE participant for personal travel expenses (outside of the agreed upon and stated expenses for lodging and travel during the mission, etc.).  

 

World Missions Possible is NOT RESPONSIBLE for any illnesses, injuries, liabilities, etc. incurred by any team memeber during their travel during and to/from their mission. Team members are encouraged to provide their own travel/medical/liability insurance coverage.

 

There are a limited number of openings for non-medical personnel (translators, volunteers, etc.). Acceptance of any and all team members lies solely at the discretion of the World Missions Possible board and mission team leader/coordinator.
